We have low wages in an expensive society. Some economists think it's better for the economy to have food stamps, because businesses can pay less and there will be more jobs.
Should sodas be off-limits? Maybe. Should we distinguish between diet and sugar sodas? What about a cake mix, so a mom can get her kid a birthday cake? What about a premade cake, for the busy mom who works her tail off serving your french fries, and is too worn out to bake a cake?
There were all these tax breaks, and then suddenly, there isn't enough money to pay for programs, and the working people using them are considered lazy?
